Baptism and Whitewash Training🫠

 Hey everyone!!

These past 2 weeks have been quite the roller coaster. The First thing I want to write about is Johan! My last email I told you all that we were planning on inviting Johan to be baptized on May 24th. That week we were calling him and he told us he wanted to be baptized on that day! We didnt even invite him, he just felt ready! That was truly the happiest moment of my mission, it was so exciting. He ended up being baptized on May 25th last Monday! 

His baptism was perfect and I felt so much joy! Watching Johan learn that God was real and that he truly loved him was amazing. The best part was that we did nothing! All we did was invite him to continue to pray even when it was hard and to read the Book of Mormon everyday and God did the rest. I know that God is there and when we put in the effort to be close to him, we WILL see his hand in our life and feel is love change our hearts!!

The next day I found out that I am whitewash training. I got a brand new missionary to train in an area that I know nothing about. And the best part is... this is a busing area🫠. So this past week has been very hard I cant lie. Ive felt very anxious and it has felt like I started my mission all over again not knowing anything. I wish I had a trainer but Im supposed to be the one training😭. But we are learning and growing and Im excited to keep becoming a better missionary. And Scarborough is so blessed! We have at least 4 lessons a day and so many media referrals! So this is gonna be an exciting transfer.

Anyways love you all so much, God is so so good! He is real and he is there keep pressing forward with faith!

 Hi Everyone!!! I am so dearly sorry for not emailing you all I know you're just dying to hear how I am doing! Lol. So here you go, I am doing so good!! Im not even lying, I love it here with my whole heart. I love teaching people, finding people, and I love the members. AND to top it all off, it's getting SO WARM!! Exchanges😋

 Hello again, I feel like im emailing you guys everyday, P-day just keeps coming up faster and faster. But it's good im excited to update y'all on everything.  This week was so good we now have 4 friends on date! They are all amazing and have strengthened my testimony of this gospel so so much. I'm so excited for them! Monday to Tuesday I exchanged with our STLs. I was with Sister Johnson!! I love her she's awesome and such a diligent missionary I learned so much from her. We taught one of our friends about the 10 commandments and when we said thou shall not Kill, he said we shouldn't kill with knife, but in Nigeria, we kill with gun... Yeah that was crazy so we had to make sure he knew any killing is against the commandments🤣 then we had FHE and we played telestrations! It was fun but it's definitely more fun with my family. Farewell and Setting Apart

 Shelby was so nervous to give her talk, but she did amazing! Her testimony is powerful. She talked of building a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her testimony of serving in the temple was sincere and strong. It was an amazing talk, as if she has already gone and served! The Dean girls; Mom, Emily, Ellee, Hailey and Aubrey sang the song Because, by Shawna Edwards. It was a beautiful song that added the spirit to the meeting. Finally, President Lootens spoke, and he told of how much he loves Shelby and the Dean family. It was a nice tribute. We had an open house here at our home, where wonderful friends and family came: The Lee's, Grandma and Grandpa Martin, Jordan, The Hubbards, The Walkers,  The Waltons, The Rodriguezs, The Ackroyds, Sebastian Badara, Karam, and Sarah Pender. We ate Ham sliders and 6 different salads and desserts.
